Parish Pastoral Council
Mission Statement
Founded in 2005, Divine Mercy Parish was formed by the merger of St. Stanislaus Church, Church of the Holy Cross, and Sts. Peter & Paul Church, in a mission to praise and honor God in the Roman Catholic tradition with our rich and diverse heritages.
Having served faithfully many generations of people from South Trenton and the surrounding area, we the people, in response to God's love, goodness and mercy, wish to continue our mission.
As disciples of Jesus, we treasure our call to be a community of faith, hope, love and service. We celebrate this journey rooted in prayer, the word of God, the Eucharist, the Sacraments and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
We witness to the Gospel and proclamation of the kingdom by affirming every human person as being created in the image of God, and by serving others with justice, charity, mercy and compassion, especially those in need.
Purpose
The Council shall act as an advisory body to the Pastor and with the parish staff to address issues of concern that affect the spiritual growth and development of the Parish. It will promote communications among the Pastor, pastoral staff, parishioners and the Council.
